ビッグカメラで色々と。iWork '08プレゼンソフトのKeynote、ワープロのPages、表計算ソフトのNumbersという3つのソフトウェアがパックになったソフトウェア。ノートMacも買うかも知れないので5ライセンスあるファミリーパックを購入した。(11800円)なかでもNumbersはとても使い勝手が良い。これのためだけにiWorkを買ったみたいなもん。一つのシートに、いくつも表を貼るという形式は表計算の革命と言っても良いんじゃなかろうか。ちなみに定番のMicrosoft Officeは高いし、仕事でめちゃくちゃ使っているので仕事を想起させる。プライベートでは使いたくない。という理由で候補外。OpenOffice.orgはX11アプリなのでクリップボードなどの使い勝手があまりよくないので候補外。OpenOffie.orgのCocoa版NeoOfficeはGUIがJavaなのでAquaSKKでの入力ができないので候補外。携帯シンク for Mac 5 FOMA 充電ケーブルセットiSync(Macのアドレス帳やカレンダーをPDAや携帯と同期する仕組み)やBluetoothにも対応している携帯電話管理ソフトウェア。iCalがGoogleカレンダーに対応したら素敵なんだけどなぁ。USBケーブルが付いて5180円。俺の携帯(Softbank 811SH)にはBluetoothが付いているので、たぶんUSBケーブルは使わないけど。Master Money for Mac ~Universal アプリケーション~個人向け資産管理ソフトウェア。4080円。まだ先日インストールした試用版の試用日数が残っているが、高いものではないので、思いきって購入。ミタメは大変地味だが、業務アプリ的な操作感は慣れるとなんだかんだで使い勝手は良い。

Investor's Business Daily - Open-source software, such as Linux, often claims enterprise-class capabilities, but it isn't adopting enterprise-class security standards, according to a study by security tools supplier Fortify Software. Fortify says the free software often comes with hidden costs because businesses end up having to fix unexpected security problems. The security concerns come amid increased adoption of open-source programs, with more than half of CIOs saying their enterprises run such software.
